Carole Ferguson

Carole Ferguson is the CEO for Carbon Transition Analytics which she set up in 2023 which provides research and analytics to investment managers and banks on transition plans for global companies in high carbon intensive sectors using asset level analysis. Carole Ferguson previously led Industry Tracker when it published research and analysis on the transition of key companies in the steel and cement sectors in 2022. Prior to joining Industry Tracker, Carole was Head of Research at CDP between 2017 and 2022 where she led a team of 10 analysts who published climate transition research on carbon intensive sectors including steel, cement, chemicals, utilities, oil & gas, autos, shipping and consumer and capital goods. The research was targeted to the global investment community where the team successfully conducted webinars and investor roadshows on key findings of the research for top 20 shareholders in the UK, Europe, US and Japan. Before joining CDP, Carole worked as a fund manager for 10 years at Societe Generale Asset Management London and prior to that at Flemings and JP Morgan (London & Hong Kong) on the sell side in the equity derivatives and capital markets teams. She holds an MBA from London Business School and a MSc in Economics & Policy in Energy and the Environment (2017) and a MSc in Environmental Economics (1999) both gained from University College London. She also serves as NED on the board of the BlackRock Energy & Resources Income Trust and Henderson Far East Income Trust and was till recently on the advisory board of Wheb Asset Management a boutique impact fund.
